Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know About Our Chenille Upholstery Fabric

Is chenille good for sofas?

Yes, chenille is a popular sofa fabric thanks to its soft feel, warmth, and textured look. The right choice depends on the fabric’s construction, quality, and how much the sofa gets used, so match the specific fabric to your household.

Is chenille good for pets?

It depends. Chenille yarns can snag on cat or dog claws, which is worth considering in a pet-friendly home. Ask about tighter weaves or performance fabric alternatives if snag resistance matters for your household.

Does chenille pill?

Sometimes. Pilling varies by fiber, yarn, construction, and use. Lower-quality or less suitable fabrics may pill more readily, so it’s smart to ask about a particular fabric’s characteristics before choosing.

Do you reupholster furniture in chenille?

No. We supply chenille upholstery fabric only. We do not provide reupholstery, fitting, or installation work. If you’d like help selecting the right fabric, we’re happy to guide you.
